how do you know which chakra is blocked

There is no "one size fits all" scenario when it comes to answering how do you know which chakra is blocked. Every individual is unique and has layers upon layers of either karmic or personal energetic imprints to clean.

However, there are ways to figure out which chakra is blocked or what are your life's repeating challenges that hide your life-lessons or growth areas.

One of the methods is through discovering your soul code. The third digit in your soul code has a hidden message. Of course, we will discuss this specialized and skilled knowledge later. You can take the soul code quiz to find out yours.

Another identification method is through your destiny charts that I plot in my life map reading program. Clear markers of your blocked chakras, life lessons to learn, and areas of struggle appear in these destiny charts.

For example, suppose your third digit of the Soul Code is number 2. In that case, the theme of your life's challenge may center around taking care of other people. You may be overly responsible and too other-centered, so you continuously sacrifice your own needs to help everyone else or often act as a rescuer. At the same time, life may arrange to put you into this position, so it is no longer a conscious choice. It is essential to work on your boundaries. All of these issues and challenges are tied to unblocking and balancing your second and fourth chakras.

Can a blocked chakra affect your health?

According to Ayurveda, yogic principles, and even Traditional Chinese Medicine, blocked energies in your body can result in poor health. Since chakras are the vortices that are energy regulatory portals, long-term blockage or imbalance in them can affect your health.

Chakras closely connect to the endocrine system in your body. The endocrine and the nervous systems function and oversee the regulation of body activities.

The nervous system acts through electrical impulses and neurotransmitters to cause muscle contraction and glandular secretion. However, the endocrine system works through chemical messengers called hormones that influence growth, development, and body processes.

Along with the nervous system, the endocrine system helps maintain the parameters needed for optimum health by adjusting hormone secretion levels to suit particular demands. In the same manner, any imbalance in one chakra affects all the other chakras. The nervous and endocrine systems are functionally interconnected. Any disturbance in one part can lead to malfunction elsewhere.

Below is the list of each Chakra connected to the endocrine glands in your body:

Look for these signs. You'll no longer wonder how do you know which chakra is blocked.

  1. The Root Chakra affects the adrenal glands. These glands secrete a variety of hormones, and all are important. People consider the adrenaline hormone essential for your fight or flight response, which also links to the first Chakra’s association with the issue of physical survival needs.
  2. The Sacral Chakra affects the ovaries and testes in females and males, respectively. Besides the sexual development and maturity functioning of these glands, the reproductive organs are also responsible for producing hormones that affect your voice's depth and the amount of body hair.
  3. The Solar Plexus Chakra affects the functioning of the pancreas. A few of the most common dysfunctions of this gland and chakra are diabetes, chronic acidity, and stomach ulcers.
  4. The Heart Chakra affects the thymus gland. This gland helps strengthen your immune system. Low functioning of the thymus gland and the Heart Chakra blockade link to autoimmune diseases.
  5. The Throat Chakra affects the optimum functioning of the thyroid and parathyroid glands. Besides controlling the body's metabolic rate and calcium level in the bloodstream, it's believed these glands affect your mental development. Throat Chakra keeps a balance between the rational, cerebral approach and the emotional expression of your heart.
  6. The Third-eye Chakra affects the pituitary gland, which is also considered the master gland of the endocrine system that influences the growth, metabolism, and general body chemistry. The pituitary gland is responsible for labor contractions and releasing breast milk during lactation time in females. It is a fascinating connection between the third-eye and the pituitary gland with birth and motherhood. This connection leads to the heightened intuition of the mother for her child.
  7. The Crown Chakra affects the pineal gland, which is considered the control center for the proper and effective functioning of our physical, emotional, and mental selves.

How do you use meditation to unblock chakras and open for abundance?

So how do you use meditation to unblock chakras? You could use the free 3-day guided chakra meditation mini course. Psychologists have discovered that people cannot differentiate between what is real and imagined realistically. There are many benefits from taking part in regular meditations and guided visualizations.

The core purpose of meditation is to align your subconscious with your higher self. Many professionals blend energy healing of the chakra system and use a healing crystal, or an essential oil for chakra cleansing. In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, there are three stages of training the mind that activate numerous healing properties:

  1. Dharana
  2. Dhyana
  3. Samadhi

Dharana: This is the daily practice of concentration. This is a disciplined form of training. In concentration practice, you try to avoid your mind's chain association and focus on the specifics.

Dhyana: This is the practice of meditation. If concentration practice, Dharana, contracts the mind around one subject, Dhyana expands your consciousness.

Samadhi: This is also a practice of meditation. However, to reach the state of Samadhi, you work with abstract concepts like compassion and forgiveness. You hold the intention and work with the feelings and cleansing of your chakras. You also achieve Samadhi when the union of the lower consciousness with the higher consciousness occurs. This is the ultimate bliss. Not all meditation practices reach the state of Samadhi.
